First of all, who is Denny Lee? Although, this is probably the first time you have heard of him, he has been in the business of creating music since the ripe old age of 7. That's when he wrote his first song. He is now 63. He recorded his first record on the Owl Record label owned by Hoot Roberts from Wausau, Wisconsin and Denny's father. Denny originally was from Marshfield.
Denny Lee loves to write music and his writing preferences are Country and Rhythm and Blues. He also likes to write Gospel although, his believe in God has become a little shaky in the past few years and as he claims in one of his songs on his new CD "Kindly Keep It Country" (Listen To The Children), God seems to wear a badge.
The hit (Deer Hunting Season Again) has put Denny back on the Wisconsin charts and has finally given this man recognition of being one of the better songwriters. As Denny's drummer on this session Scott Benson put it in an email he mailed to Denny: "The more I listen to your songs, the more I am impressed."
Denny comes from a family of seven children with him being the oldest. His mother and father are both deceased, his mother passed away on February 2nd, 2007. The song on his latest CD called (No Disappointments Up There) was written right after she passed away and stands as kind of a tribute to this wonderful lady.
Currently Denny has started recording the many songs he has written over the course of the last 50 plus years. He's sorry that it took so long, but because of new finances coming his way, he is now able to finance the recording process that eluded him for so many years.
Denny hopes that you will enjoy the new songs and the new sounds that he and five other musicians have put together for you and yours to listen too. Denny tried to pick out 12 or 13 songs that would be good enough for this CD. However, after recording and letting several friends listen to the product, they all came up with the same answer. All the songs are good. So Denny decided that he would release all 17 songs on this album instead of the normal 10 or 12 songs you normally find on a new CD.
Denny wants to thank all his fans, new and old and he loves to remind people to "Kindly Keep It Country".
